Biography Daijiro Mizuno
Daijiro Mizuno is a design researcher and an assistant professor in Keio University’s SFC X Design program, Faculty of Environment and Information Studies. He is running his lab focused on design and the speculative mind. His specialism is fashion design and design research, inclusive design and digital fabrication. His research looks at design in the broad spectrum, from architecture to fashion design in order to explore how visual arts can make positive impacts on the society. Based on the sociological theories of consumption, production, and reproduction in the context of fashion as social phenomena, His work attempts to bridge the discrepancy between practice and theory through research. One of his projects is related to FabLab Japan, a fabrication laboratory that uses digital technologies to envision the future of manufacturing.
