The workshop focuses on innovation in sport and vitality for the society in public spaces. The groups should consider data-enabled possibilities (data-enabled technology is often targeted for sport for the mass, while data-driven technology is mostly targeted for elite sport) and societally supported, in sight of Tokyo2020 Olympic games:

Tokyo Vision 2020 sets a goal of creating a society where everyone can enjoy sport. Targeted programmes will help create a more active city where facilities and the influence of athletes encourage the community – especially the next generation – to lead healthy and sport-based lives, in line with the Games vision.
The TMG also established in 2010 the “Bureau of Sports” to create the ‘City of Sports - Tokyo’ programme, where all residents - “anybody, anytime, anywhere“ - can enjoy sport. Tokyo 2020 would set an impressive new benchmark in terms of Games plans and legacies being so intertwined with a city’s overall long-term urban and sport strategies

. aiming at supporting vitality for the mass,
. supported by psychological, physical, and/or societally arguments,
. including a proof of concept of higher quality,
. having entrepreneurship potentials in a collaboration context between TEP and Noord-Brabant.
